Lattice Semiconductor claims that its CrossLinkU-NX FPGA is the primary in its class to combine hardened USB machine performance. Geared toward AI and embedded imaginative and prescient functions, the FPGA packs a USB controller and bodily layer (PHY) able to USB 2.0 switch charges as much as 480 Mbps and USB 3.2 switch charges as much as 5 Gbps.
CrossLinkU-NX not solely reduces the whole value of possession and space wanted for discrete PHY elements, but in addition the FPGA material assets required for a USB machine controller. Moreover, it offers a low-power standby mode with an always-on block to increase battery life and simplify thermal administration. On the spot-on configuration allows I/O to be configured in 3 ms and the machine in 8 ms. Present consumption is lower than 70 µA beneath typical standby mode.
Supplied in business and industrial temperature grades, the CrossLinkU-NX FPGA has 33k logic cells and 64 18×18 multipliers. A Lattice Propel template, host driver, and instance host utilities for USB to I/O bridging and MIPI CSI-2 to USB bridging functions assist speed up USB machine implementation with the FPGA.
CrossLinkU-NX FPGAs are sampling now and are supported by Lattice Radiant design software program.
